Paramedics

We need paramedics to share with the students in a 30 minute presentation. The presentation is set up for you – all we need is YOU - to add your personal stories and style. The presentation includes a power point presentation and role play scenario that depicts a multi-casualty crash. If you can volunteer for at least one 30 minute session per month please contact us for more information at 403-944-4099.

"I volunteer for P.A.R.T.Y. Calgary because it is such a worthwhile injury prevention program. It gives presenters an opportunity to share their first hand knowledge of how young people from our own community are sustaining injury by engaging in risk taking behaviour. But it's also an opportunity to show them what they can do to minimize their risk if they follow the Stupid Line messages.  Students get a chance to ask First Responders (EMS, police, and fire) direct questions about their work; what they see, how they help people, and what are some of the outcomes of the emergencies they attend. As a presenter, my goal is to demystify some of the perceptions students may have about injury prevention ("it can't happen to me",  I'm invicible"), and give them simple facts and realities that will hopefully modify their choices from then on."       Anonymous EMS Presenter

"I support the P.A.R.T.Y. Program because I am tired of responding to incidents that yield serious injury and/or death - where with a little common sense, it could have been avoided."    Anonymous EMS Presenter
