Registered Nurses

There are several ways Registered Nurses can help with the P.A.R.T.Y. Program.

1. ER or ICU Presentations -These are 12 – 15 minute sessions that you can present while you are at work. The purpose of these sessions is to show the students what happens in the trauma bay and ICU when a seriously injured patent arrives - NOT scare them but show them the reality of your role.! In this presentation you will describe the various pieces of equipment on the mannequin and discuss the procedures done in ER/ICU. We provide a guideline so you know what information to cover.

2. P.A.R.T.Y. Assistants – Each day we require one RN to act as our P.A.R.T.Y. Assistant from 09:00 to 13:00. Preferably these RN’s will have some critical care experience and be comfortable with basic computer skills.   Their primary role is to provide direction and support to the multidiscilinary team involved in the day to day program delivery.  The role of the P.A.R.T.Y. Assistant also involves presentations to students..

If you can volunteer for at least one 30 minute session per month, OR for one 4 hour P.A.R.T.Y. Assistant shift per month, OR for ER or ICU presentations when your patient load allows please contact us for more information at 403-944-4099.
