Grade 9 – In-Hospital

This is a full-day program for Grade 9 students, (8:30 am - 2:30 pm) delivered at the Foothills Hospital. Students hear from a number of guest speakers about the consequences of risky behaviour, including police, paramedics, nurses, rehabilitation staff and injury survivors. Students follow the path of a trauma patient from the time of injury untill discharged from hospital. The program is structured to bring them face to face with the reality of poor choices. Learning is inherent because of the powerful combination of program content and hospital environment.
